The idea was to make the base of the piece the focal point, rather than the shoes and legs on top of it. The piece also highlights the contrast between the heavy surface materials used on the street and the lightness of the air in the sole of the shoe. <div><br /></div><div>The shoes and legs are made from solid concrete, while the air bubble was created using clear polyurethane resin.
